The Hercules Gas Engine Company of Evansville, Indiana was in business from 1914 to 1934. The only engines they built were Single Cylinder Engines. There were at least two other Hercules Companies that built engines. One was located in California and I believe is no longer in business, the other is located in Canton, Ohio. They were in business until sometime in 1999. Their assets were purchased by another company going by the name of Hercules Engine Components and are selling parts. The last I knew they could be reached at 330-830-2498.
I have also been told that Jerry Biro, P.O. Box 206, Martinsburg, OH 43037. Phone 740-745-1475 is selling parts for some of their engines.

This company contacted me and indicated that they makes Hercules engine parts,
such as pistons, piston rings, gaskets, valves, rod and main bearings. They do
camshaft restoration, lifter grinding, cracked head and block repairs. Visit their
web site www.ramengine.com.
