| FRICTION CLUTCH PULLEYS. A friction clutch pulley is used in place of the regular pulley so you call stop or start the engine without having to throw off the belt, or you can stop the machines without stopping the engine. This clutch has interchangeable rims, which can be easily removed, so that by purchasing one of these clutch pulleys with extra rims you will have an outfit that will run nearly every machine that your engine can handle. To change the pulley take out the bolt "A" (Figure 6), remove the washer "B" and band wheel "C." Then with a screwdriver take out the screws "D," lift off the clutch cover "E," loosen the set screw "F" (Figure 7) and take off the clutch. This releases pulley ''H,'' so it can be taken off. To put on the new pulley you simply reverse the above operations. Be sure the screws "F" and "D" and the bolt "A" are tight, to prevent them from working loose while the pulley is running. To operate the clutch, the pulley will stand still when the engine is running if the hand wheel "C" (Figure 6) is pulled out. To start the pulley push the hand wheel in toward the engine. ![]() CLUTCH PULLEY PARTS
